1. Unmanned aircraft information prospects:
On the 21st, the U.S. government finally announced the written rules for the commercial flight of small drones. Although this historic regulation has not yet “green lighted” on drone express delivery, the new regulations will greatly facilitate specific operations for long-term “regular” drone ordinary “drivers”.
Previously, due to the lack of compliance, drone operators needed to follow the flight rules for ordinary airplanes, and they had to submit special applications to the civil aviation authorities before they could legally “lift off.” This process is time-consuming and costly.
According to the new regulations, operators only need to register on the government’s website, and then go to a designated test center to get a driver’s license for two years through a drone flight knowledge test. Before this, the operator must have the pilot's license to open the drone.
This new rule, which is 642 pages long, sets forth specific requirements for the flying time, altitude, speed, and users of UAVs. It is the first time in the history of the United States to enact specific rules for drone commercial flights.
These rules apply to unmanned aerial vehicles weighing less than 25 kilograms. They require that the entire flight must remain within the operator's line of sight. They must not fly over the head of the aircraft. They must be at least 8 kilometers away from the airport. They must avoid the plane when they encounter it. Under normal circumstances, the flight height must not exceed 122 meters and the speed should not exceed 161 kilometers per hour. The drone should fly during the day. If the drone is equipped with an anti-collision light, it can also fly half an hour before sunrise or half an hour after sunset.
Persons operating drones must be at least 16 years of age and must have a remote pilot certificate or be supervised by the person who holds the certificate. The way to obtain this certificate is to pass a written aviation knowledge test every two years. All applicants must pass a government security background review.
In addition, drone operators can also apply to the government to relax some restrictions, such as flying at night, as long as they prove that drones can still fly safely in this situation.
“For this new regulation, we have taken a careful and prudent approach to strike a balance between the need for new technology use and the protection of public safety,” said US Federal Aviation Administrator Michael Huerta in a statement. "But this is only our first step. We have already started to formulate other regulations to expand the scope of (drone) operation."
2.[The market is promising]
This new regulation does not expressly permit the use of drone delivery. In a statement, the FAA Administrator Michael Huerta said that the Aeronautics and Space Administration is conducting research on the safety of drone delivery, but did not specify when the relevant details were issued.
Many home appliance companies such as Amazon and Google have previously expressed their interest in using UAV delivery. Amazon and Google previously stated that they hope to use drone delivery by 2017.
Drones play a very good role in many industries and the outlook is also very good. Recommend to look at our configuration products with DJI, still very good.
